Eric is expanding his presence on YouTube videos and with audio podcasting after establishing a rather successful following with both a cocktail review show on YouTube, Simply Made Cocktails and 9th Man Nation, a media outlet that began covering the Arena Football League through conversation.
Eric is currently the subject of Simply Eric Vlogs, an online vlog channel highlighting his lifestyle change efforts physically, psychologically, and financially. He is also the host of Inside the Nation podcast, a podcast that has conversation with members and fans of the Arena Football League (currently in transition to becoming a vidcast show).
In addition to running Thurow Media, Eric also serves as the Owner and Founder of Thurow Financial, which is a new personal financial services company, coming this summer in July 2018. He will also be launching his vidcast (video podcast) show, for this new upstart company, Thurow Financial.
Eric Thurow was born in San Francisco, California, but has lived his entire life in San Jose, California.
Eric didn’t truly begin his entrepreneurial mindset until he was a junior in high school by establishing a mobile disc jockey company (Mobile DJ). Soon he had upgraded his mobile dj company to a local music promotions company, which allowed him to annually attend the Billboard Music Awards shows and industry events in Las Vegas for a great networking opportunity.
All of this came to a halt when Eric realized that the music industry was not his calling, but did realize that marketing and brand recognition were his calling. In the blink of an eye he went from the music industry to assisting the promotion of a local professional football team and league, which to this day, he still has a high interest and involvement in.
In 2014, Eric created a YouTube vlog called Simply Made Cocktails (initially called Simply Eric). The show featured spirit and liqueur reviews and advice on the appreciation of unique cocktails, spirits and liqueurs in Eric’s simplified, yet down-to-earth style. Episodes consisted of spirit/liqueur reviews, cocktail tastings, along with the generalization of tasting shots aka shooters that were recorded for a 3 episode per week schedule once every two weeks; that’s 6 episodes in one day of recording. The show eventually reached such a status, that spirit brands, both old and new upstarts were willing to have their product featured on the YouTube channel. As the show continued, Eric proceeded to invite a friend on the show, to whom would eventually become a co-host, and moving on to begin interviewing local bar establishment owners in the San Jose area who specialized in the craft of the cocktail and its history. Simply Made Cocktails went on for 125 episodes before Eric had to make a unfortunately tough decision to put the show on a long term hiatus. The show will make its return and will be featured in 4k UHD HDR and with professional grade microphones. The expected date for returning is unknown at this time.

In 2016, after putting Simply Made Cocktails on a long term hiatus, Eric, founded Thurow Media, an agency focused on helping his brands, both Simply Made Cocktails and new upstart, 9th Man Nation gain more of a stronger foothold on social media. Thurow Media also helps outside local businesses establish the presence of building their online brand via social media and owning their own web site property. Such companies include; Maryland-style crab house, upstart meal prep company, a long time established Mexican taqueria, and a local community college football program just to name a few.
For 9th Man Nation, the intention was to promote the excitement that is the Arena Football League by creating content on multiple social media outlets (written, photographic, video, and audio) to get the league the exposure it is lacking. The AFL allowed 9th Man Nation, full media credential access and sends press releases, from the league office and each individual team. 9th Man Nation then uses the information by placing it on its own web site and social media accounts. Plus uses it as a back bone for conversation in a newly revamped show, Inside the Nation VIdcast (formerly a audio only podcast). Thurow Media, doing business as 9th Man Nation now has the eyes and ears of the fans of each team and is considered a league leader on the creation of content and conversation for both those personally involved in the league and its member teams along with the fans who support the league.
